Who is this course for?For either course, you need to be working within a plumbing environment. Level 2 Apprenticeships are suitable for general Plumber roles.

In both levels of Apprenticeship, you will study a mix of theory (knowledge) and practical (competency) modules, examples are provided below. Level 2 topics may include:- Communication, environmental protection, applying scientific principles, safe working practices, domestic plumbing and heating systems, site preparation and pipework fabrication, domestic cold water systems, domestic hot water systems, domestic central heating systems, domestic rainwater systems, domestic above ground drainage systems.
What qualifications do I need?
What qualifications do I need? Level 2 - there are no formal What qualifications do I need?; however you should hold GCSE A-D (or equivalent) in Maths, English and either a science or technical-based subject.When does the course start?
September 2013, however flexible start times may also be available.Where is it held?
As with all Apprenticeship programmes, you will be employed in a plumbing environment and be visited regularly in the workplace by your trainer/assessor for practical assessments. In addition, you will also attend college on a day release basis – these sessions will usually take place at Rodbaston campus. Some learning and activities may be completed through our dedicated online portals.How long does the course last?
For both levels, the usual duration for each course is 24 - 36 months.What does it cost?
The course is fully funded for those individuals who meet the Apprenticeship funding requirements. For those who do not meet these requirements, individual prices can be provided on request. Please note: you may be required to purchase small items of equipment during the course.What could I do after completing the course?
