What will I do on the course?
The content of this qualification is comprised of all the required elements to work effectively as a beauty therapist including health and safety, client care and communication, electrical face and body treatments, and body massage. Underpinning this qualification you will develop a sound knowledge of health and safety practice in a salon environment. During this course you will learn how to demonstrate your skills on other learners, models and clients. In addition, you will learn skills that are required in any career choice, confidence building, social and practical skills, and English and Maths. We also offer English and Maths GCSE resist.What qualifications do I need?
- 4 GCSEs Grade D or above
- Level 2 Beauty Therapy Qualification
- You should have a strong interest in working in the beauty industry and demonstrate a commitment to succeed
- Successful trade test.

How will I be assessed?
As part of this qualification you are required to produce a portfolio of evidence. A portfolio will confirm the knowledge, understanding and skills that have been learned. It may be in electronic or paper format. You will be assessed by:- Practical assessments observed in the salon
- Assignments or online tests
- E-learning project work
- Research / worksheets / written questions/ case studies
- Oral questioning
What equipment will I need?
Learners will be required to purchase a salon uniform and beauty equipment kit in order for them to successfully participate and complete the course. Prices and details will be discussed at interview. Bursary funds may be available to help with additional costs.Are there any additional costs?
