Learners will work toward a Level 3 in Beauty. Course units include:
- Monitor and maintain health and safety practice in the salon
- Client care and communication in beauty related industries
- Working with colleagues within the beauty related industries
- Promote and sell products and services to clients
- Provide body massage
- Provide body electro therapy treatments
- Provide facial electro therapy treatments
- Provide Indian head massage
- Provide stone therapy massage
Teaching and assessment
Students will be assessed by a combination of the following:
- Practical exams
- On line testing
- Tasks and assignments
For successful completion of the course, student will be required to achieve a minimum pass grade in all practical exams and on line tests.
Classroom based sessions are for the delivery of the anatomy and physiology and theory areas of the qualification. Salon based sessions involve training and practice on other students within the group, moving on to clients working in a realistic commercial environment. Home study will be required to enable students to achieve on this course (approx 6 hours a week).
Entry requirements
• Level 2 qualification in Beauty Therapy • Minimum of Level 1 in Literacy and Numeracy • Successful interview
