Beauty Therapy Diploma Level 3 Awarding Body City & Guilds Course Details In order to achieve a high level of competence in providing a range of beauty services, the programme of study has been broadened to achieve an all round beauty therapist qualification with extra specialist skills. Successful completion of the following units for the full Level 3 Diploma in Beauty Therapy: Working with colleagues within beauty related industries Monitor and maintain health and safety practice in the salon Promote and sell products and services to the client Client care and communication in beauty related industries Contribute to the financial effectiveness of the business Provide body massage Provide facial electrotherapy treatments Provide body electrotherapy treatments Provide massage using pre-blended aromatherapy oils Provide self-tanning Apply micro-dermabrasion techniques. A Course For This course is for anyone who holds a level 2 Diploma in Beauty Therapy qualification and wishes to progress onto the next level. This course covers facial and body electricals, body massage, retail, micro-dermabrasion, self-tanning and aromatherapy using pre-blended oils. You will have practical experience in Mosaic, our commercial beauty salon which simulates a real work environment. You may also have the opportunity to undertake work placement in the beauty industry, undertake additional qualifications (optional, may incur an additional cost), enter competitions and get the chance to visit a beauty exhibition. We informally interview each applicant because our main concern is that you will benefit from and successfully complete the chosen programme of study. The course is timetabled around family/work commitments and consists of up to 15 hours of study per week in college as well as additional home study.
