Who is this course for?This is a good course for you if you enjoy learning through practical work and if you have a passion for the outdoors and want to work as a stockman, farm worker, or herdsman.
What will I do on the course?
A typical working week will comprise of classroom sessions and lots of practical farm work. There will also be time to meet with your tutor and work on improving your Maths and English. Your tutor will encourage you to attend a voluntary agricultural placement 1 day each week. You will learn about working safely, maintaining the health and wellbeing of animals, crop systems, transporting animals and maintaining tools and equipment. What qualifications do I need?
- 3 GCSEs Grade E or above
- You should have a strong interest in working in the agricultural sector and demonstrate a commitment to succeed

Are there any additional costs?
