Brickwork Diploma Level 3

Who is this course for?

This course will build on the skills you have gained at Level 2 to equip you for a career in construction or provide you with a good foundation to progress to a higher level qualification. This course will interest you if you are looking for the opportunity to improve your practical skills in 'real work' situations and continue to develop your knowledge of the latest techniques and safe practices.

What will I do on the course?

You will undertake assignments and projects to demonstrate your skills tackling realistic workplace situations and will study a range of subjects including;

• Complex and decorative brickwork
• Setting out, cutting and shaping of brickwork
• Site planning
• Site organisation
• Building Regulations
• Safe working practices
• Repair and maintenance of structures
• Building complex masonry structures

In addition, you will learn skills that are required in any career choice, including health & safety, confidence building, social and practical skills, and English and Maths. We also offer English and Maths GCSE resits.

What qualifications do I need?

• Level 2 qualification in Bricklaying
• Adequate standard of English and Maths
• Mature learners with other qualifications and/or experience are also welcomed
• You should have a strong interest in working in the construction industry and demonstrate a commitment to succeed

Are there any additional costs?

Learners may be required to purchase small items of personal equipment during the course. Prices and details will be discussed at interview. Bursary funds may be available to help with additional costs.
