During the course you will develop insights into literary and critical theory which will complement your study of the huge expansion of new media and desktop publishing within the world of business. Creative and visual approaches are emphasised across the course.

There are many opportunities for you to explore your own practical and creative writing interests and take part in study trips nationally and internationally. This course is also available as a four-year variant, which includes studying abroad in one of our partnership European universities for an academic year. Such experiences increase your intercultural understanding as well as your employability.

Your understanding of literary styles and techniques will be given a vocational edge in practical public relations units on message analysis, technical and creative skills, image manipulation and media production.

Assessment

In addition to the more traditional essays, examinations, research projects and presentations, students will have opportunities to submit creative writing, journalism, workbooks and portfolios.
