Student support is a high priority at Chichester College What will I Study? The 90-credit Diploma and Extended Diploma consist of a number of core and specialist units. The combination of units studied may vary but include: Core Units: Health & Safety Communications for Engineers Project (double unit) Mathematics for Engineers Mechanical Principals Electronic & Electrical Principals Specialist Units: Computer Aided Design (CAD) Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Design Materials Programmable Logic Controllers Microprocessor Systems Electronic Circuit Design & Manufacture Telecommunications Commercial Aspects of Engineering Electro, Hydraulic & Pneumatic Systems Mechanical Applications How will I be Taught? Taught sessions consist of a range of student centred theoretical and practical activities contextualised to the engineering environment and with a strong emphasis on independent discovery learning and team building. How will I be Assessed? The programme is internally assessed through a series of assignments. Assignment methods vary but include worked answers to questions, written reports, practical assessments, logbooks, video, project work and presentations. What our students say?
