This is a foundation level course for those new to Secretary, PA or Administration work.

Objective

Gain the necessary skills to gain your first job in a Secretarial or Administrative role. It can form a basis for students to continue and take more advanced courses in Secretarial or Adminstrative studies. Examples can be seen by looking through our other courses.

  • Office Health&Safety;
  • The functions of an office;
  • What is the role of a junior secretary;
  • What is the role of a receptionist;
  • Being a good telephonist;
  • Managing emails and mail;
  • The functions of HR;
  • How to do proofreading;
  • Touch typing to 25wpm; Copy typing;
  • Beginner training in Microsoft Office Training:
  • This covers Word, and then it is your choice. You can take PowerPoint, Excel or Outlook.

Course Requirements

No pre-requisites. Standard level of secondary education or more, is ideal.
