Preparation for Psychology Conversion – Short course

This short course is ideal if you want to study psychology at postgraduate level but do not have the required 60 undergraduate credits in a psychology-related subject.

It gives you a broad introduction to psychology and a good understanding of the core curriculum set by the British Psychological Society (BPS).

The course is made up of three modules
• foundations of psychology – this covers the origins of psychology and some of the fundamental areas of psychology research at an introductory level
• social and individual psychology – introduces you to social psychology, developmental psychology, and individual differences
• brain and behaviour – introduces you to cognitive and biological psychologies, as well as some introductory psychopathology

It takes you another step along the road towards your psychology study goals, encouraging you to utilise and build on the skills that you already have as you prepare for further study.
