NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety Level 3 The NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety is a globally recognised health and safety qualification that is held by more than 100,000 people in the UK and world-wide. According to the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999, every company is to appoint a competent person in Health and Safety. The NEBOSH General Certificate will satisfy this requirement. Course Details The course programme deals with: Hazards and safe systems of work. Fire prevention measures and actions in the event of a fire. Controlling health hazards. Methods of controlling risks. Effective communication. Investigation of accidents and other incidents, and the maintenance of records. Compliance with general legislation. Inspections of workplaces. A Course for Suitable for all personnel who are involved with Health and Safety in the workplace, will also provide a route to the course which prepares for the Certificate in Construction Health and Safety. Entry Requirements No formal entry requirements are necessary. Assessment NEBOSH external examination to include: 1Practical assessment and written report (2 hours). 2Hazards in the workplace (2 hours). 3Management of Health & Safety (2 hours). Learning Outcome This course prepares students for the examination of The National Examination Board in Occupational Safety & Health (NEBOSH). Progression after Programme (also available at Redcar & Cleveland College) Either the National Certificate in Construction Health & Safety. Or the National Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety.
