Course Overview

The National Examination Board in Occupational Health and Safety known simply as NEBOSH are a globally recognised health and safety awarding body. The NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety (NGC) is the most widely held health and safety qualification in the UK with over 100,000 people having successfully gained the award since it was launched in 1989. The NEBOSH National General Certificate course is split into 3 modules:

  • NGC1: Management of Health and Safety - 37hrs tuition and 23hrs private study
  • NGC2: Controlling Workplace Hazards - 43hrs tuition and 26hrs private study
  • NGC3: Health and Safety Practical Application - Workplace hazard identification/control exam

NGC1 & NGC2 are delivered in a classroom and assessed by means of a 2 hr written exam per module. NGC3 is a practical application project to be conducted at your place of work. The NEBOSH General Certificate courses are scheduled in such a way as to allow sufficient time between each module, and between NGC2 and the exam.
