Building Studies Higher National Diploma (HNC Top Up) An Award of Teesside University delivered in partnership with Redcar & Cleveland College Course Details Redcar & Cleveland College working in partnership with Teesside University. This is a course which provides a specialist work-related programme of study that covers key knowledge and competencies required in the building sector. The HND (HNC Top Up) can be completed over a one year period (subject to prior modules and university credits). The following units will be covered: Building Control and Legislation. Work Based Learning. Refurbishment and Innovation. Project Management. Contractual Procedures and Procurement. Building Services. A Course for This course develops education and training of engineers/ technicians to a professional level in a variety of types of technical, professional and management careers in construction and the built environment sector. Entry Requirements Applicants should have the following: HNC Building Studies. Assessment Each module will be assessed with various assignments, phase tests and end tests. Teaching and Learning The teaching and learning methods include case studies, presentations, projects, lectures and seminars. A range of electronic resources can be accessed via the virtual learning environment. Study Skills are also integrated into the programme.
