Beauty Therapy Diploma Level 2 Awarding Body City & Guilds Course Details In order to achieve a high level of competence in providing a range of beauty services, the programme of study will require the successful completion of the following units for the full Level 2 Diploma in Beauty Therapy: Working in the beauty related industries Follow health and safety practice in the salon Client care and communication to beauty related industries Provide facial skin care Promote products and services to clients in a salon Remove hair using waxing techniques Provide manicure treatments Provide pedicure treatments Apply make-up Provide eyelash and eyebrow treatments Provide nail art Salon reception duties Head massage. A Course for This course offers an excellent basic beauty therapy qualification covering facials, manicure, pedicure, eye treatments, make-up, waxing and anatomy and physiology. You will practise what you learn in Mosaic, our commercial beauty salon which simulates a real work environment. You may also have the opportunity to undertake work placement in the beauty industry, undertake additional qualifications (optional, may incur an additional cost), enter competitions and get the chance to visit a beauty exhibition. The Hairdressing, Beauty and Holistic Therapies curriculum at Redcar & Cleveland College provides further education and training for students of all ages and abilities who have an interest in this rapidly expanding industry. We actively encourage mature students to apply and we do our utmost to ensure that life skills and work experience is valued as well as formal academic qualifications.
