English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)- Part of the UK Government’s Skills for Life initiative, this nationally accredited qualification is aimed at short and long term visitors to the UK who wish to access further education, vocational training or employment in the UK. Candidates generally include refugees, asylum seekers immigrants and visitors from the European Community. The content of the qualification is based on the life skills contexts of connections and relationships, time and money, home and community, rights and responsibilities and personal development. - Develop their interpersonal communication skills in a British community

- Progress towards and achieve the language criteria for naturalisation/UK citizenship
- Progress towards and achieve, personal and economic independence
- Take part in day to day social and cultural activities using the English language
