VRQ Level 5 Certificate in Management and Leadership

The level 5 qualifications in Management and Leadership are designed for practising and aspiring middle managers who wish to develop their core management skills and practices.  These qualifications focus on the personal development of the individual learner’s management capabilities and competencies.

VRQs are work-based but assessed by written assignment.  They are made up of units covering a wide range of management topics, allowing you to tailor the size and elements of the qualification to suit you and your organisation’s specific needs.

A more extensive qualification, the CMI Level 5 Certificate in Management and Leadership gives you a broader knowledge of middle management skills while focusing on the specific leadership areas appropriate to you and your workplace.

To achieve a Chartered Management Institute Certificate in Management and Leadership, you need to successfully complete any combination of units to a minimum of 13 credits. (Units 5001 – 5022 only) The Certificate can take between 1 to 3 months.

There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification.  Assessment is normally through practical work based assignments.  This ensures you minimise time away from work and that you undertake work study which is relevant to your own organisation’s context.  Learners should have sufficient capability at the right level to undertake the learning and assessment.
