of IT skills. It will normally be taken alongside a programme of

Computer Systems.
The Optional units are Client Side Web Development, Animation,
Programming and eCommerce.
Three units, including the mandatory units, will be completed in
the first year, followed by the further three in the second
year.

Entry Requirements
Five GCSEs at Grade C or above which must include English and Maths.
Costs
A home computer is not essential, but would be beneficial, as
would a memory stick to save and transport your work.

Progression
The qualification carries the same UCAS points as an AS/A2
Level, helping you to gain university entry. Foundation Degrees are
available at Petroc.
Information Technology will help you develop specialist skills
required in the IT industry. Possible career paths are web design,
graphic art, animator, computer games design, or computer games
programmer
