Why choose this course?

The Master of Science in Computing has its main emphasis on the effective design, development and management of information systems. It is appropriate for students who have little or no experience of computing or information technology, as well as for students who already have a background in computer science. Our stundents come from a wide variety of backgrounds and from a number of diciplines. The programme will be of interest to you if you plan to move into the computer and information systems field, or if you have found that computing is playing an increasing role in your work environment.

The award will provide up-to-date knowledge and understanding coupled with professional and technical skills that relate to the development, management and usage of information systems applications in a variety of organisations.

Possible careers include systems analyst, analyst programmer, database developer and systems administrator. Graduates from this award have a very strong record in gaining employment.

The entry requirement is a good first degree from a recognised university. However, it is possible to accept mature students who can demonstarte a suitable level of experience.
