1. Pump principles
What is a pump, and how does it work? In this opening chapter, you
will learn the different working principles through several live
demonstrations.
2. Centrifugal pumps
In this chapter, you will learn about the different centrifugal
pump types, their individual characteristics, and their
applications. Next, we will examine the different impeller and seal
designs, covering their workings and applications.
3. Positive displacement pumps
This chapter covers the ten most common positive displacement
pumps, explaining their working principle, different possible
designs, and their application.
4. Finding information
Where do you find the information you need to give your pump a long
and happy life? It is all in the manual! This chapter will briefly
discuss the content and usage of different manuals, with particular
attention to piping design, pump foundation design, and pump
start-up.
5. Pump performance
Learn what pump performance is and how to read the different charts
and curves used in the industry.
6. System Overview & elements
The pump is just one piece of a giant puzzle. In this chapter, we
will cover all the other main components of a pump system and how
they interact with each other.
7. Pump system drawings
In a pump system, there is usually a lot of detail about the pump.
To make this visible we use technical drawings. In this chapter,
you will learn what kind of drawings there are and how to read
them.
8. Pumps in different segments
In this chapter, you will learn more about the application of pumps
in different segments. For every segment, we will cover the main
processes, medium properties, special characteristics, and
technical topics related to pumps. So, wherever you might go, after
this chapter, you will know what to expect.
Final exam
A final exam consisting of 100 multiple-choice questions.

The course is great with easy to follow content and fun interaction between Jos and Johannes just watch out for the pointer, it’s nice you can complete in your own time with nice sized section and downloads with a certificate at the end after passing the exam, whilst the course is not accredited against a qualification body with reference to these two experts, this would hold you education high in any industry no matter who was asking, the experience comes from the real world its time colleges and universities took heed of this and realise that courses like these are worth more than an outdated classroom based theory.
With practical cut away examples and real references it’s easy to follow with easy explanations and fun interactions which leads nicely onto the other courses which are waiting to raise your competency and education a wonderful incentive to make you a more valuable person in the market.
I’ve learnt more in this course than 16 years in the maintenance industry there isn’t another course like this anywhere online.
