Cavitation becomes a thing of the past with this NPSH Calculation for Water course.
Learn how to calculate the NPSH properly for the most demanding situations. The course dives deep into all its different aspects and teaches you how to calculate the NPSHa and NPSHr and determine the required Safety margin. This will not only provide you with a more accurate result but also enable you to calculate the NPSH for situations that include pressurized tanks, vertical pumps, self-priming pumps, and a wide range of industries.
Whether math is your second language or not, this course provides you with an easy-to-follow step-by-step process.

Step-by-step
You don't have to be a math wizard. This course provides a step-by-step process that is easy to follow for everyone.

No more guesswork
Learn how to make a proper NPSH accurate calculation even in the most demanding situations.

Cavi-what?
Make cavitation a thing of the past and drastically save on maintenance and downtime costs.

Hone your NPSH calculation skills with the help of a number of exercises based on practical situations we came across in the field.

Curriculum
1. The importance of proper NPSH calculation
In this chapter, we discuss the importance of a proper NPSH calculation. We dive deeper into the different risks involved with an NPSH calculation and how this influences a pump's TCO.

2. Basic NPSH calculation: In this chapter, we teach you how to make a basic NPSH calculation, a common way to determine the NPSH. This calculation is fairly easy and quick to check the NPSH requirements for simple installations.

3. Advanced NPSH calculation: This chapter teaches you how to make an advanced NPSH calculation. The main difference here is that many more factors are considered to determine the NPSHa and the Safety margin. As a result, you get a very accurate NPSH calculation, which is especially useful in demanding situations where reliability is key.

4. External influences Here, we discuss some of the factors that can significantly influence your NPSH values. This will help you understand these situations in daily practice and provide you with all the tools you need to avoid damaging cavitation.

Exercises
This course comes packed with many exercises, both in Metric and Imperial units, to help you put the theory into practice. A carefully designed workbook includes step-by-step templates, pump curves, and data sheets to hone your calculation skills.

This course includes a workbook full of exercises, cheat sheets, reference materials, and a 3-month access period (which we happily extend on request).

Practice is central in all our courses. Because the teachers work with pump technology on a day to day basis this guarantees a good knowledge exchange.
