Saving Energy at Work, Short Course Programme

While energy management in large organisations is beginning to be tackled by employing specialist staff, SMEs face the challenge of a lack of expertise within the organisation combined with a business turnover which does not justify employment of specialists. This half-day course is therefore aimed at SME owners and managers who are keen to learn realistic ways of cutting energy usage and costs at work.

This course will enable you to take control of rising energy costs by combining energy management into the broader management of your business and reduce the need to employ external expertise. It will provide an overview of the issues surrounding energy management along with practical exercises which will allow you to apply your knowledge quickly and easily when you return to work.

By the end of the session you will be able to identify opportunities for energy saving in your business as well as generating your own energy via renewable systems such as solar and wind. You will also be able to begin assessing the performance of your organisation and will leave with a range of ideas to follow up.
