Environment Design and Management is a new approach to the
interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary study of the creation and
management of the natural environment. It studies the components of
urban and rural environments, and their influence on people, both
psychological and physical.

The course has been designed collaboratively with suitable representatives from the profession, aiming to produce graduates with attributes immediately desirable to consultancies, government organisations and large environmental charities, such as Groundwork. In doing so, the University have developed strong links with environment and landscape management professionals, which ensures that your studies will have real-world relevance. You will meet practitioners from areas of this diverse field and develop a valuable portfolio of project work, a valuable asset for your interviews and career development.
Resources and facilities
The course is based at the Brackenhurst campus, located in the
countryside 14 miles north of Nottingham, just outside Southwell.
It has an excellent bus service link with the city centre campus,
and with Newark Northgate rail station, on the East Coast mainline
route from London.
The campus is small and friendly, with newly built en-suite student accommodation. However, if you prefer the bright lights of city student life, you can apply for university accommodation in the city and commute to Brackenhurst.
