Is this course for me?

You'll study all aspects of the travel industry - holiday resorts and travel companies, holiday destinations, customer care, and selling skills. Within the programme there is the opportunity to choose the aviation route (with cabin crew and ground crew qualifications) or the resort option (with a resort rep and customer service qualification). At NHC we offer personalised learning routes so students can choose their own path. All students are taught within the College's tutorial programme which adds value to their experience and helps prepare them for the world outside of college through visits to employers, trips locally and abroad, industry speakers, practical assessments, enhancing their CV and increasing their employability skills.

What qualifications or skills do I require to study this course?

4 GCSEs at grade D, including English and preferably Maths, and on receipt of a good reference.

What does the course involve?

At NHC we offer the perfect introduction to a wide range of jobs in aviation, as holiday reps, travel advisors and many more. Travel and Tourism at NHC is a popular and successful course which is taught by industry experienced staff. Students with genuine drive, enthusiasm and commitment can expect to achieve well and find employment from a wide selection of travel jobs either locally, in the UK or overseas. The Travel team is highly dedicated, enthusiastic and has excellent subject knowledge. Assessment during the course will be a combination of exams, practical and coursework.

What option will be open to me if I successfully complete the course? You can progress onto a level 3 qualification or into employment. On completion of the course you will receive a vocational specific qualification linked to employers or an academic qualification.
