Course Summary:

The one year Holistic Massage Diploma at Nescot is a part-time course which will prepare you to become a professional massage therapist and is also the basic qualification to progress onto other massage qualifications such as Sports therapy and aromatherapy.

Course content includes:

• Professional ethics and business awarenessincluding client care, professionalism, the law, and setting up a business to include accounts, marketing and advertising and types of business history.
• Theory behind massage, including contra-indications to treatment, the holistic approach, how massage benefits each system of the body.

• Case studies - 18 treatments documented
• Practical examination of full body massage
• Onehour multiple choice exam - Anatomy and Physiology (unless already held)
• Two written assignments.

Career Progression:

Practice as a massage therapistor a wide range of courses in the area of holistic therapies, health and fitness, for example,reflexology orsports massage.
