ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
This course is suitable for people with Standard Grades at Credit Level 1 and/or Intermediate 2 level and/or National 5 at Grade B. If you do not hold these entry requirements, then it may be that one of the NC Applied Science courses, Level 5 or 6, will be more appropriate to your needs.

WHO IS THE COURSE FOR?
The course is mainly intended for persons who wish to progress to study at Higher Education level (either HNC/D or degree) and who already have strong qualifications at Standard Grade or equivalent.
HOW WILL I BE ASSESSED?
Highers are assessed mainly by end of course examination. However, there are also course assessments which will be completed in College throughout the year.
PROGRESSION ROUTES / CAREER OPPORTUNITIES
Students successfully completing this course may progress to University Degrees in Sciences or associated science courses and to the HND Applied Sciences course.
You may wish to note that the College also offers alternative courses in Applied Science (NC level 6 and HNC/D) which also offer entry to university. These may be more appropriate options depending on your qualifications and future intentions.
