Description

This course aims to provide students with the range of in-depth specialist skills and knowledge required for working in a rapidly changing industry. They will develop their skills in pre-production, production and postproduction work and have the opportunity to undertake a range of collaborative projects with students and external partners across the Creative Industries.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

This course is suitable for those with 2 Highers or those who have successfully completed a related non advanced college course in Media. For those returning to education, life skills and experience in the workplace may be considered.

HND Creative Industries: TV is a practical course which aims to prepare students for a career in the television/video industries.

HOW WILL I BE ASSESSED?

This course is mainly assessed on a continuous basis and does not include an external end-of-course examination. Coursework takes the form of essays, reports, presentations, case studies and practical projects. Most of the assessment of student work is undertaken by College staff.

PROGRESSION ROUTES / CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

On successful completion of the HND, students may apply to year 3 of degree courses or seek employment in industry.
