This advanced level course will allow you to develop your skills with a view to working in one of the most vibrant and competitive areas of the creative industries, the performing arts. This course will provide opportunities for you to develop advanced skills in the key areas of Voice, Movement, Production and Acting. This course also provides a platform for you to develop leadership skills, co-operative team working skills and gives valuable insights into contemporary theatre practices. You will be encouraged to develop the skills needed to sell yourself in the industry and to work as a freelance operator and/or to progression to degree level studies.

We work in partnership with Aberdeen Performing Arts, Aberdeen Arts Centre Theatre and the Scottish Drama Training Network.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Typical applicants will be expected to have two Highers. All applicants are required to attend an audition and will be required to learn and perform two speeches (one contemporary speech of your own choice and a Shakespearean speech, from a selection which will be sent out). Higher Drama is recommended.
Advanced entry to year 2 is possible for those who have completed 15 credits from HNC Acting and Performance.
WHO IS THE COURSE FOR?
Students who have completed a non advanced drama course and are looking to progress in performing arts. Anyone looking for a career in the performing arts or wishing to study at Drama college or at University.
HOW WILL I BE ASSESSED?
Written & Practical Assignments, Closed Book, Performance and Presentation.
PROGRESSION ROUTES / CAREER OPPORTUNITIES
Successful completion of an advanced course may lead to a place at drama college, a university degree course or a career in the performing arts industry.
