This course is delivered through a comprehensive lecture programme, skills workshops, studio-based seminars, individual critique of work & group one-to-one tutorials

There is a very strong focus on entrepreneurship, building business links and professionalism. In this respect, you will produce material that complements the skills necessary to succeed in a fast-moving, dynamic industry. Early modules in the course challenge you to develop business skills in terms of pre-production material, such as business plans & proposals that will provide solid foundations for future employment.

Project work takes place in groups & on an individual basis. Practical production elements are delivered during seminars, with access to workshop facilities & support. The course has strong industrial links that help generate live briefs from a range of industrial advisors.

You will have the opportunity to specialise in one area of production including:

  • 3D
  • Graphics
  • Web design
  • Digital imaging
  • Post-production
  • Video production
  • Radio production
  • Project management

  • Final presentation

The course culminates in a professional & public exhibition. Guest speakers from the industry are a regular feature of the course.

Students should possess, or expect to achieve, ONE of the following in media, multimedia, graphic design or 3D design, with predominantly merit/commendation or distinction grades:

  • Foundation Degree (FdA)
  • Higher National Diploma (HND)
  • Diploma of Higher Education (DipHE)

You will be invited to attend an interview and present a portfolio/showreel/demo tape of evidence in support of your application
