Description

This course is aimed at full-time teachers/trainers or part-time teachers with a significant teaching role.

There are two possible routes: generic route or the Skills for Life route for literacy, ESOL or numeracy.

This is a practical course, which aims to develop knowledge and skills directly related to teaching and training in a wide range of settings.

The course has 3 main elements:

  • Tutor input
  • Coursework
  • Teaching practice

Students must be aged 19+ and have ALL of the following:

  • A first degree/level 3 vocational qualification, or significant experience of the subject to be taught

  • Level 2 in Maths, English at GCSE grade C or above or adult numeracy and literacy qualification at level 2
