Description
Students will study a combination of practical and theoretical skills in site carpentry.
Units include:
- Health and safety
- Management duties
- Planning resources
- Liaising with suppliers
- Estimating
- Maintenance and repair
- Fitting different styles of door
- Complex roof construction
Students must have ONE from the following:
- 4 GCSEs at grades A*-C, including English, Maths and Science
- Level 2 Carpentry CAA Diploma, plus GCSE English or Maths at grades A*-C
- Level 2 Carpentry NVQ, plus GCSE English or Maths at grades A*-C
- Equivalent qualifications - Functional Skills may be accepted in place of GCSE Maths and/or English
