Head, Neck & Shoulder Massage for Beginners (ACLS)
Content by tutor Julie Ward consists of the following:
Covered in this course will be, learning terminology and correct way to perform Swedish massage moves, including:
- Effleurage
- Petrissage
- Tapotement
- Percussion & vibration
- Indian head & facial massage moves will also be included
By the end of the course students will have learnt a full head, neck and shoulder routine using basic aromatherapy oils. Students will also benefit from receiving the massage using oils and music to create a relaxing environment. Students will also learn about the affects of massage on the different systems of the body and become familiar with names of main bones and muscles.
Students must be:

- Studying their first ACLS funded course
- A Nottingham County Council resident
