Developing Skills for Gaining Employment AIM (SFA)

This course consists of the following:

Develop your job search and IT skills, including completing application forms and covering letters; CV and interview skills; open an email account and learn how to upload and download attachments.

This course is designed to improve your confidence and you will put together a record of the work you have completed in a folder/portfolio.

· Identify possible employment options

· Complete a job/training application form

· Create/improve a basic Curriculum Vitae (CV)

· Interviews: preparation, appropriate conduct/dress, communication and reflection

· Find out about job/training opportunities in your local area

· Produce an action plan for future career development

Students must be aged 19 or over and studying their first SFA funded course
