Course Description

If you want to develop your knowledge of the job role of a Nursery Nurse so that you can embark on a rewarding career or you are already working in a related field and want to improve your career prospects, then this is the course for you.

The Distance Learning Nursery Nurse Level 3 Diploma course will help you:

• Improve your knowledge and skills
• Meet the requirements for basic training as part of childcare practitioner
• Work within an environment with children aged 0-16 years
• Undertake professional development.

The Topics included are: 

• Introduction to Nursery Nursing
• Childcare and child development (0-16)
• The childcare practitioner in the work-based environment
• Planning to meet children's individual needs in the work-based environment

The course includes an assessment section, which you will find at the end of each module.   Activities in this section correspond to the preceding information and help you to assess if you have grasped general knowledge and an understanding of the module. Previous Knowledge Required

You do not need any prior learning knowledge or experience to take this course. This course is openly available to anyone who wishes to take part in a highly rewarding home study course, although you would be expected to have a reasonable standard of literacy.

You have the freedom to start the course at any time and continue your studies at your own pace for a period of up to 12 months from initial registration with the full support of your Tutor.

Assessment

Completing a series of tutor marked activity questions will lead you to the highly acclaimed Level 3 Diploma in Nursery Nurse.You must successfully complete a series of activities and assessments. Once all assessments and activities have been completed satisfactorily, you will then be awarded your certificate.  The good news is, there is no final exam.
