Summary:

This course is designed for students who want to develop their knowledge in a vocationally related context. You can study a range of units and use them as tasters for further study or employment options. There are two compulsory units - Self-assessment and career progression which will help you improve your confidence and look at the skills you need to develop to improve your job prospects. We will be doing Forest school which inludes conservation work and skills such as shelter building, making fires to cooking food and whittling. We will also be doing basic cooking and practical skills such as carpentry, sports and multi-media.

Informal assessment of BTEC units in the classroom, exams for functional skills are generally on-line but paper-based assessments are also available
