The number of units taken will award a number of credits and this determines the qualification gained. Candidates need to complete any combination of units to a minimum of 6 credits to achieve the Award and 13 credits to achieve the Certificate. For the diploma candidates must complete all core units from Group A plus any other two units from Group B to a total of at least 42 credits.

- Unit 3002 - Resource Planning: 6 credits (Group A)
- Unit 3003 - Meeting Stakeholder needs: 6 credits (Group A)
- Unit 3004 - Managing and communicating information: 6 credits (Group A)
- Unit 3005 - Developing individuals and teams: 6 credits (Group A)
- Unit 3006 - Recruitment and selection: 6 credits (Group B)
- Unit 3007 - Maintaining quality standards: 6 credits (Group B)
- Unit 3008 - Improving team performance: 7 credits (Group B)
- Unit 3009 - Management communication: 6 credits (Group B)
- Unit 3010 - Being a leader: 6 credits (Group B)
Entry requirements & Hours of study:
- There are no formal entry requirements but you should be working as a first line manager or thinking of becoming one.
- There are approximately 20 hours of study per unit, plus additional time for completing assignments.
- One NEC assignment and one CMI assignment per unit.

Assessment:
The number of units taken will award a number of credits and this determines the qualification gained. To achieve the Award you need to successfully complete at least one unit to a minimum of 6 credits. To gain the Certificate you need to successfully complete any combinations of units to a minimum of 13 credits. For the Diploma candidates need to complete all core 3001, 3002, 3003, 3004 and 3005 plus any other two units to a total of at least 42 credits.
