This course will prepare you for the following qualifications:
- City & Guilds Level 3
- EDI Level 2
- IAB Level 3
- ICB Level 3
Advanced Book-keeping helps you:
- pursue a career in book-keeping or accounts
- develop skills underpinning Accounting S/NVQs
- gain a recognised book-keeping qualification
Topics include:
- Accounting for sole traders
- Accounting for companies
- Incomplete records
- Accounting for partnerships
- Interpretation of accounts
Entry requirements and hours of study:
- You will need an Essential Book-keeping qualification, GCSE Accounting or equivalent to take this course
- Access to a computer would be useful but is not essential
- You should allow 60 hours of study time, plus extra time for completing assignments
Specification:
You may work through this course without intending to obtain a qualification. However, if you do decide to work towards a qualification you will need to obtain a copy of the relevant syllabus from your chosen awarding body and take one of the examinations listed above.
Assessment:
Individual tuition with eight marked assignments. There will be an awarding body examination if you choose to gain a qualification.
