Course Description 

Our Psychology Diploma has been authored and is tutored by Dr Matthew Smith most famously known for his appearances as Resident Parapsychologist for Living TV’S Most Haunted! Dr Matthew Smith was an Associate Professor in Psychology at Liverpool Hope University and led the Parapsychology Research Group. He has recently conducted research on replication issues in parapsychology and psychological variables associated with paranormal belief.

In this Psychology Diploma, you will find that psychologists have come a long way in understanding human behaviour and the mental processes that underlie our actions. We hope you will enjoy reading and thinking about the different approaches to psychology, and that the course ultimately helps you to gain an understanding of your own behaviour just that little bit better.

Please note that you will need to carry out additional research in order to gain the Diploma upon completion. This aspect has been included in order to improve the student’s research skills.

In this Forensic Science course we will look at the fascinating subject of Forensic Science. Forensic science can be simply defined as the application of science to the law. In criminal cases forensic scientists are very often involved in the search for, and examination of, physical traces which might be useful for establishing or excluding an association between someone suspected of committing a crime and the scene of the crime or victim. Such traces commonly include blood and other body fluids, hairs, textile fibres from clothing etc., materials used in buildings such as paint and glass, footwear, tool and tyre marks, flammable substances used to start fires and so on.

This fascinating subject provides a host of exciting career opportunities for those students who are appropriately qualified and motivated.

 Previous Knowledge Required 

You do not need any prior learning knowledge or experience to take this course. This course is openly available to anyone who wishes to take part in a highly rewarding home study course, although you would be expected to have a reasonable standard of literacy.

You have the freedom to start the course at any time and continue your studies at your own pace for a period of up to 12 months from initial registration with the full support of your Tutor.

 Support 

You will receive the entire package of course materials in a single dispatch together with dedicated Tutor Support for 12 months.  All assignments are marked by one of our professional Tutors who will offer regular feedback and guide you through your course.

 Assessment 

You must successfully complete a series of activities and assessments. Once all assessments and activities have been completed satisfactorily, you will then be awarded your certificate.  The good news is, there is no final exam.
