An introduction to this versatile medium. Learn a variety of different techniques.
By the end of the course you should be able to apply paint in a variety of different ways. You should know which brushes and painting supports to use and feel confident using acrylic paint.
Assessment:
Continuous throughout the course. There are group discussions and individual tutorials from week to week.
Progression:
Continue to develop skills within the class or progress to Level 2. Please ask at the centre office for details.
On this course you will develop the following skills and knowledge:
- Develop a broader understanding of types of brushes and other painting supports
- Learn to use a number of different techniques, working from simple life studies
- Become more confident in the use of acrylic
- Develop techniques for applying paint on to a variety of supports, including paper, card, wood and cloth
