Learner & Entry Requirement: 

No previous knowledge is required.

General & First Session: 

If you have a notebook and dictionary, please bring them, but do not purchase them specifically for the course until after the first class.  KAE is unable to offer refunds for any materials, equipment or books if the course is subsequently closed.

Course Aim & Objective: 

During the year you will learn how to have a basic conversation about yourself and how to enquire about others. We will include information about the culture and customs of the country.

Progression: 

To Year 2 then French Level GCSE course at KAE.  Please ask at the centre office for details.

Course Syllabus: 

You will also learn the following:

  • How to order food in a restaurant and to ask for items in a shop
  • To ask how much things cost
  • To ask directions
  • numbers/colours
  • To express that you either like or dislike something

You will also learn the necessary grammatical structure and pronunciation to express the above in the language you are learning.

During the course there will be regular internal assessments to ensure progress.
