This course is for those of you who are quite fluent in the language or may have lived in a French speaking country or have reached degree level.
The main emphasis is on conversation. During the course we will discuss a variety of topics of interest (chosen together) as well as study extracts from literature and poetry, articles from French newspapers, short stories and plays. We will also watch and discuss French films. There will be some revision of advanced grammar and vocabulary. We will read and discuss the works of several French authors. This will be decided in consultation with the students in the first few sessions of the course (most probably Camus,Zola, Nemirovsky etc…) Literatu…

Learner & Entry Requirement:
For those of you who are quite fluent in the language; may have lived in France; or have reached degree level.
General & First Session:
Pen and paper. KAE is unable to offer refunds for any materials, equipment or books if the course is subsequently closed.
Course Aim & Objective:
Maintain and further develop your fluency in the French language as well as introduce you to cultural and social aspects of French speaking countries.
By the end of the course you will be able to speak and write in French with greater fluency and confidence.
Assessment:
This is not an examination course. However, there will be some homework between lessons (reading, revision of grammar, summary of text, etc…)
Course Syllabus:
An opportunity to consolidate and develop your conversation skills through discussion, including relevant topical issues. Listening comprehension, translations and advanced grammar exercises are also part of the course.
