Are you interested in becoming a coastguard officer, firefighter, police officer, airforce or marines officer?
This course combinines the best of outdoor education and sports coaching to create a practical based course for students looking to develop the confidence, self esteem, knowledge and skills to enter employment or further education within the public services.
No previous knowledge is required but enthusiasm for the outdoors and sport is essential.

Practical content includes: kyaking, canoeing, climbing, ropes course and problem solving. You will also have the opportunity to gain other leadership qualifications, Functional Skills and Personal and Social Development qualifications.
One year at college. Three days a week.
Entry Requirements
A willingness to learn new skills, to undertake practical tasks and to progress into Public Services as a career.
What Next?/Employment
Potential occupations include: Ambulance person, army soldier, civil service administrative assistant, firefighter, police officer and voluntary service.
