First Aid and Health Care for Pets (Taster)

Ever wondered what you need to do for your pet in an emergency situation? This course provides some of the life-saving skills needed to administer first aid to animals. You will also learn about common diseases, their treatment and prevention and be able to recognise poor health in domestic pets. Half-day course available on two dates.

Course Content

This half day course will provide you with some of the life saving skills needed to administer first aid to animals. You will also gain knowledge about common diseases affecting your animals and be able to recognise signs of poor health.

• Introduction to first aid
• First aid kits for animals
• Detecting signs and symptoms of poor health
• Common diseases affecting domestic pets,their treatment and prevention.
