This wholly practical based 3−day course deals with the felling of small trees (15" in diameter or less at their base) and their subsequent breakdown. Subjects include health and safety regulations, use of felling aids, de-limbing, cross-cutting
Please note: Assessment will take place on a separate day by arrangement between the candidate and the external NPTC assessor.

NPTC Level 2 Certificate of Competence CS31
Course Content
- Current health and safety regulations
- Felling of conifer and/or broadleaves up to 15" diameter − upright and leaning tree
- Use of felling aids
- De−limbing
- Cross−cutting and stacking
- Take down of hung up trees

Entry Requirements
Students must be aged 16 or over on 1st September of the year in which the course starts. Tetanus protection is recommended.
