PURPOSEThis pathway is for practitioners who are already or aim
to be working in areas of advanced infection control. There are two
main aims of the pathway: firstly, to consolidate and improve the
practitioners understanding of advanced concepts in infection
control and secondly, to provide practitioners with skills to help
them further develop their careers.
DESCRIPTION
This pathway is designed for practitioners who wish to advance their clinical practice, develop their professional career and enhance their knowledge of research and evidence-based healthcare in the field of infection prevention and control.
The programme builds on existing skills and experience to enable the student to lead and support the development and subsequent delivery of evidence-based infection prevention practice. The pathway is particularly suitable for those either working or intending to work in an infection prevention team either in an acute or community setting.
