Masters Level Module
This module examines how language teachers develop professionally during their teaching careers. It begins with an historical overview of teacher knowledge and teacher learning. From there, a variety of relevant topics are covered, including: teacher training, development and education; the development of expertise in language teaching; teacher cognition and knowledge; the relationship and interface between theory and practice; reflective practitioners and reflective practice; teacher beliefs about language and language learning; planning teacher development programmes.
This module is also offered online in the Spring term.
