Masters Level Module
This two-day workshop is offered as an optional module of the Institute's Teaching and Learning in Higher and Professional Education Programme. It aims to provide course members with an opportunity to examine, explore and integrate a range of practical and theoretical issues of teaching large groups of students, in a workshop setting. The workshop will include: lecturing and learning; the place of the lecture in a course; the nature of the lecture and 'alternative' lecturing; approaches to and conceptions of lecturing; evaluating the lecture; the practice of lecturing (practical video-taped sessions). This module is available as a short course.
