Graduate Diploma in Advanced Educational Practice

This programme will:

• focus professionally on a wide range of subjects within the field of education and related areas
• allow you to study themed modules within the areas of reflective practice, leadership and management, and/or inclusion
• enable you to meet and share ideas with other educational professionals.

This programme provides the opportunity to:

• study on a flexible basis at the IOE or offsite with a cohort of students from your school or a cluster of schools
• transfer honours level (H level) credits from courses taken at other institutions, or from an IOE PGCE programme
• study accredited CPD short courses and other school-based and accredited local authority-based programmes approved by the IOE.
• work with a diverse learning community including masters students

Who is this programme for?

Professionals (teachers, teaching assistants, educational administrators, lecturers, educational psychologists and others) in the education sector who do not hold a first degree or the equivalent.

Entry requirements

A foundation degree or equivalent plus appropriate experience. We may consider candidates with alternative qualifications and experience.

How is the course assessed?

By coursework assignments, portfolio or presentations of up to 4,000 words (or the equivalent).

Attendance

Mixed mode, including face-to-face daytime, evening or weekend sessions and online learning.

You may choose to progress to a masters programme after successfully completing the diploma.
