Full Description
As developers of the Recruitment Practice Standard (RPS), in partnership with Association of Professional Staffing Companies (APSCo) Innergy's two day RPS Training Programme Level 1 will take recruitment consultants with 0 to 1 years experience through the complete recruitment process from start to finish covering all modules of the syllabus.
Resourcing Part 1Resourcing is an integral part of any consultant's role and as such this training module covers candidate qualification, data protection, database management, writing and publishing classified adverts, new client development and candidate management.
When taking the RPS Level 1, employees will be given the opportunity to either complete the Resourcing Part 2 module or New Business Sales. During the RPS Training Programme consultants will be taken through both modules, this will allow consultants to understand both areas and enable them to make the choice that is most applicable to their role.
Resourcing Part 2The Resourcing Part 2 module will further develop consultants resourcing understanding by covering; using social media to network, developing an advertising strategy, advanced candidate generation, headhunting and detailed candidate management and control.
New Business SalesThis training module takes the consultant through generating new business sales from setting goals and objectives, successfully marketing candidates, selling features and benefits, closing clients, client objection handling, planning calls, opening a client call and locating decision makers.
Taking a BriefTaking an accurate brief to enable the consultant to fill the role is a crucial part of the recruitment process. This module goes through the brief process from start to finish, starting with understanding the different types of briefs (perm/contract/temp), creating actions plans, qualifying a brief, understanding candidate benefits, having a successful recruitment plan, handling difficult clients and taking a brief face to face.
Managing the Recruitment ProcessA consultant should understand the management of the recruitment process; this module coaches the consultant through the full recruitment process, the different ways of communicating with clients and candidates, time management and planning, negotiating and maintaining a successful attitude.
Candidate Selection and MatchingEnsuring the client is presented with candidates matching their needs is important to ensure you are providing the client with a service they are happy with. This module takes the consultant through interviewing candidates, managing expectations, delivering a candidate offer, creating and building good relationships, using questions to get the right information and re-qualifying candidates.
Legal ComplianceIt is important that every recruitment consultant understands legal compliance in the recruitment industry and as such this is a required module on the RPS Level 1 (a compulsory element of the RPS examination).
The Legal Compliance training module will cover many areas such as; working in the UK – eligibility, holiday entitlement, Equal Opportunities legislation, Employment Agencies Act, Agency Workers Regulation, giving references, health and safety and much more.
On completion of the course delegates will then be given access to theRecruitment Practice Standard online examination and, when they pass, will receive the industry's leading accreditation and certification endorsed by APSCo.
Each delegate on the program will also receive access to Innergy's exclusive training centre, where they can access a library of training videos, elearning content, guides and support tools.
