Entry Requirements
- 136 GCSE points, plus Grade D in English Language or a BTEC Level 1 Diploma at Merit level
- You are required to bring examples of your work to interview
What will I be doing on the course?
- Explore visual studies through drawing, print making, painting, digital photography and sculpture
- Designing and producing textile and fashion design
- Designing and constructing 3D design objects
- Designing and producing graphic design images
How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed through working on practical assignments, producing a range of products and sketch books for the main programme. Functional skills are assessed through on line tests.
What will I need?
Students are required to purchase a course kit of art materials at a cost of £110. There may be additional payments required for some study trips.
What can I do next?
When you have successfully completed this course, you will be able to progress to a National Diploma Courses at Level 3 in a range of specialisms: 3D Design (product, furniture and interior) or 3D Design (Display), Graphic Design, Interactive Media, Media Production, Fashion and Clothing, or Art and Design.
Additional Activities
You will take part in our enrichment programme, which will include trips to galleries, museums and exhibitions in and around London. You will be able to develop skills in English, Numeracy and ICT through taking Key or Functional Skills qualifications as appropriate.
