Who is this course for? This 1 year course is designed for learners who are interested in developing their skills in Art & Design What qualifications or experience do I need ? * 4 GCSE's grade A* - E preferably including English What will I study ? This is a broad based course enables you to experience a range of core skills including 2D & 3D studies and Art & Design History. Learners will also develop their skills in career progression by completing a Level 1 Certificate in Supporting Employability & Personal Effectiveness (WorkSkills) How will I be assessed ? Assessment is formative and coursework is assessed throughout the year. What qualifications could I achieve ? BTEC Level 1 Diploma in Art & Design What can the course lead to ? On successful completion of this course learners may apply to progress onto our BTEC L2 Diplomas in Art & Design, Creative Media Production or Performing Arts. How do I join the course ? Complete and return an application form to admissions for an interview to be arranged. Will I need an interview ? Yes - An interview and a portfolio of work.
